Speech, language, & literacy
Accessible and personalized evaluation
and therapy services for your child.
Kirby Matthews, M.S., CCC-SLP
My approach
I am a clinically certified pediatric speech-language pathologist who provides individualized and evidence-based speech, language, and literacy intervention services. I believe in a whole-child approach that incorporates not only the child’s needs but the family’s goals as well.
I am also well aware that my clients’ lives are crazy! Between new technology and embracing clients’ needs for flexibility, I have built my practice in a modern way. I offer in-home services, services in a neutral location (school, daycare, etc.), telehealth services, online medical records, and streamlined scheduling and communication.

A comprehensive evaluation will consist of a parent/caregiver interview, clinical observation, and formal assessments. Evaluations typically last between 1 and 4 hours.
-
Treatment is individualized and goals/objectives are based on your child’s specific needs. I work with the family to identify those needs and their goals to maximize progress.
-
If you aren’t sure whether your child may or may not need an evaluation or treatment, I also provide consultative services. During a phone call, we will discuss your child’s development, typical speech and language development, and any concerns that might warrant an evaluation and/or treatment. Consultations typically last approximately 20 minutes.

Interested in how you can provide your toddler with a language-rich environment and improve their communication and play skills? For young children with speech and language delays, parents play a very important role in their development. Parent training sessions can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.
“Kirby is truly a remarkable therapist. She is amazing with children. She is driven to help them succeed and she does so with a positive attitude that is infectious for all. This is her life’s work and it shows!”
